Ensuring voter participation in National General Elections (NGE) is a key mandate of the Solomon Islands Electoral Commission (SIEC).
After registering to participate in an election, voters will need to be aware of the location of their polling stations and of the steps involved in voting on Election Day (how to vote).
Participating in an election ensures that an individual will have an opportunity to cast their vote and exercise their democratic right to choose who they want to represent them in Parliament. In other words, a person’s vote is that person’s voice.
